With milder temperatures in the forecast, the DNR is encouraging you to use extra caution when heading out onto area lakes. Spokesman Joe Albert:
“People should always be cognizant of the ice — and be checking it, whenever they go out there. You want that good solid fifteen inches or so if you are going to have a truck and a big wheel house out.”
Albert encourages you to check with a local resort or bait shop for the lastest ice conditions.
