The Minnesota Department of Health is encouraging Minnesotans to prepare for a possible outbreak of COVID-19.(AKA -Coronavirus) In Minnesota, there is currently one person under investigation for the virus. Spokeswoman Kris Ehresmann says this individual had recently traveled outside the U.S. and is now in isolation pending lab results:

“We have also interviewed the individual to identify the potential for contact. We have that information and we are currently waiting for laboratory results from the Center for Disease Control. And when we get that we will then be taking action to potential contacts.”

To date, three other Minnesotans tested negative for COVID-19. Ehresmann says at this time they are not identifying what part of the state the latest suspect case is from. She says they don’t want people to panic but be cautiously prepared.
