State lawmakers are putting an insulin assistance bill on the fast track in the young legislative session. The bill failed to cross the finish line last session and Democratic Representative Mike Howard of Richfield says…

“Since the session adjourned, two more Minnesotans that we know about have lost their lives rationing their insulin, so this is a deadly serious issue.”

The House and Senate are considering different versions of the insulin bill and the sticking point remains–House Democrats want a fee on insulin manufacturers to help pay for the program, which Senate Republicans oppose.
