An ice-fishing house fell through the ice and is nearly fully submerged on Lake Hanska. The Brown County Sheriff’s Office says it happened just north of the Godahl point landing Thursday afternoon. Authorities say no one was in the ice-fishing house at the time and the owner has been accounted for. The Sheriff’s Office says the recent warmer weather; rain and warm winds have created less than ideal ice conditions. Authorities say most bodies of water currently have thin ice and they urge residents to use caution anytime they venture onto lake ice or river ice, especially at night.
