No one has come forward yet to claim a one million dollar winning Powerball ticket sold last week in Mankato. Adam Prock with the Minnesota Lottery was asked if there’s an average amount of time a winner waits before claiming a prize that large.
“It varies greatly,” said Prock. “Some people want to get that ticket out of their hand as soon as possible, others want to take their time to get their affairs in order.”
Prock says winners have one year to claim their prize. The winning ticket was sold at the Kwik Trip on Madison Avenue. Prock says the store receives five thousand dollars for selling the winning ticket.
