A Monday afternoon accident in Fairbault County sent two people to the hospital. The Fairbault county sheriff’s office says 20-year-old Max Boran of Brainerd and a passenger were transported to United Hospital District. Authorities say shortly before five p.m, a vehicle driven by Boran was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Heather Smidt of Buffalo Center, Iowa on 70th Street. Authorities say distracted driving may have been a factor in the crash.
