A Madelia native, killed in a Minnesota National Guard helicopter crash last week, will be remembered this weekend. Funeral services for 28-year-old James Rodgers will begin at one p.m. Sunday at the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winstead High School in Howard Lake. A visitation will be held Saturday night from four until nine p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winstead and two hours prior to services at the high school. Rodgers will be laid to rest during a private interment at Fort Snelling at a later date. Rodgers was a St. James High School graduate who became a Warrant Officer as a UH-60 Black Hawk Pilot in 2013. Rodgers and two others were killed when a Black Hawk helicopter crashed around 15 miles southwest of St.Cloud on Thursday.
