A Discussion on Minnesota’s Postsecondary Educational Attainment gaps will be held this morning at South Central College. Minnesota Office of Higher Education Commissioner Dennis Olson and South Central College President Annette Parker will be joined by Mankato area leaders from industry, education and the community, as well as elected officials, for a discussion on the economic and individual need to close postsecondary attainment gaps. State Education officials say the campaign, branded as Forward Together, is an effort to make the public aware of the state’s 70 percent Educational Attainment Goal by 2025, as well as the educational attainment gaps among communities of color and American Indians. The group discussion will be held from nine-30 until eleven-30 in Conference Center C at South Central.
