Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is remaining hopeful that at least a short-term deal can get done regarding affordable insulin in the state. But he’s frustrated that the issue isn’t being talked about publicly.

“Why don’t we have these conversations in the open?” said Walz. “Why don’t we talk about a vile of insulin that cost five dollars to manufacture cost 600 dollars to sell when you can get that same vile for 30 dollars in Canada?”

Walz made stops in Mankato and Lake Crystal on Tuesday afternoon.
