A decision regarding the next year’s school calendar and daily calendar for the Mankato School district will now be held later this month. Mankato schools superintendent Paul Peterson says a decision was originally scheduled for this week, but two board members are unable to attend Tuesday night’s meeting. Peterson says the board members wanted to be present for the vote so the district delayed the decision until December 16th. The district is deciding on a tiered busing schedule which would change the start and end times for students in grades kindergarten through 12. Peterson says the district will also decide on the school calendar. He says the main difference between the two calendar options is how long of a spring break the district will have.
