City of Mankato street crews have been preparing for the weather as well. Joe Grabianowski is the Superintendent of Streets at Mankato Public Works.

“Monday we started getting trucks ready,” said Grabianowski. “Now today we’re out applying brine with two trucks.”

Grabianowski says there’s a simple way residents can help street crews do their job.

“If we didn’t have any cars parked on the streets we could do our jobs more efficient and be more effective,” said Grabianowski

Grabianowski says they will have crews out once the snow begins and trucks will continue to be on the streets until the end of the weather event.
