The Minnesota Housing Finance Authority has awarded assistance to a Mankato development. The Colonial Square Apartments will receive 15.5 million dollars in aid to acquire and rehabilitate 77 one and two-bedroom apartments. The funding will be a 10.1 million dollar investment and nearly five million dollars in tax credits. State officials say the funding will provide supportive housing and preserve existing affordable homes for housing at or below 60 percent of the state’s median income, 12 homeless households and 12 households for persons with disabilities.
