South Central College has a new mission statement. It now reads “South Central College provides an accessible and inclusive learning environment that cultivates student success and advances regional economic development.” The college’s board of trustees approved at the change it’s meeting Wednesday afternoon. S-C-C President Annette Parker says the College’s new mission takes the previous mission of the college’s role in offering accessible education to the next level by placing great emphasis on inclusivity and most important student success. College officials say this is the first update to the mission statement since 2005.
