It’s been a relatively quiet start to this year’s flu season. Kris Ehresmann with the state Department of Health says even though activity is categorized only as sporadic, now is a good time to get a flu shot:

“We’re still early in the season and the activity we’re seeing is what we consider sporadic, it’s not widespread across the state, even big regions aren’t necessarily being affected”

So far this year, there has been one flu-related death in Minnesota.
