2019 has been a hard year on Minnesota State Patrol vehicles.

“We’ve had 32 squad cars hit this year already,” said Troy Christianson with the Minnesota State Patrol. “Compared to 19 last year and 14 the year before. A lot of it people are driving too fast so when they see a squad car they break too late, lose control and hit the squad car.”

Christianson says especially with the winter months upon persons should reduce speed so you can break-in time before seeing emergency vehicles.
