Minnesota’s unemployment rate held steady at 3.2 percent in October. Despite the flat nature of unemployment, Oriane Casale with the Department of Employment and Economic Development says there were distinct positives in the October numbers.

“We continue to see tiny little tick ups in the labor force participation rate which means people are confident they can find a job. They’re coming into the labor market looking for work and turns out finding work. those are all good signs.”

The state also added 74-hundred jobs in October with leisure and hospitality, transportation and utilities and manufacturing leading the way in job gains.
