A published report in the Minneapolis Star Tribune documented multiple dysfunctions in the Minnesota Department of Human Services oversight of millions of dollars in state and federal money. State Representative Jeff Brand of Saint Peter says the report is disturbing.
“That’s the taxpayer’s money,” said Brand. “And we have to be good stewards of the taxpayer’s money. Unfortunately, there seems to be a culture problem at the department of human services.”
Brand says the senate is holding hearings on the issue and the house will likely do the same.
