Efforts to open a new shelter in St. Peter have received a boost from the Minnesota Department of Human Services. The Partners for Affordable Housing has received a $130,000 grant to support the opening of the shelter. The money is part of three million dollars in Emergency Service Program grants statewide announced by the state D-H-S this week.
