Mankato Public Safety is encouraging trick-or-treaters to be safe this Halloween.
“We want all of our kids to be traveling in groups and staying on sidewalks, if at all possible,” says Chris Baukul with the Mankato Public Safety Department. “We also encourage parents to examine the candy that children take in, to make sure the seals are in-tact so that children aren’t eating anything that might be questionable.”
Baukul also says folks out driving Thursday night need to be aware, “We want those that will be out on the road to be extra cautious because kids can dart out onto the road without looking both ways,” said Baukul.
