Despite a snowy start, Governor Walz had a successful weekend in Austin for the Governor’s Pheasant Opener.
Also from the weekend, it was announced that Fairmont will host next year’s event.
The Governor was able to harvest a pheasant. Of the guests who participated in the Governor’s Opener, 44 pheasants were harvested. The longest tail feather of the birds brought in was 23-and-a-half inches.
