State officials said this week health care premiums will be relatively stable in Minnesota for the third straight year in 2020. Republicans credit the “reinsurance” program they pushed through the legislature over Democrats’ objections. Governor Tim Walz responds:

“If they’re taking credit for keeping prices high in health care, if they’re taking credit for keeping people out of insurance, they should do that — because you don’t get to do both.”

Walz says to Republicans, “let’s start thinking creatively, rather than a band-aid at the end.”
