Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is now admitting for the first time that he was, in fact, listening in on President Trump’s controversial phone call with the president of Ukraine. “If we look at the Mueller report and what we look at what we’re starting to learn now with we’ll call it Ukrainegate or something like that, there seems to be some indications of a cover-up, some indications of trying to shield or protect the president, whether those are for nefarious or illegitimate reasons or legitimate reasons is part of the impeachment inquiry.”

During a July phone call, President Trump pressed the Ukrainian president to dig up damaging information on the former vice president and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. Trump says the impeachment inquiry is “a witch hunt” and a “COUP intended to take away the Power of the People.”
