State Senator Karin Housley of St. Marys Point is applauding Attorney General Keith Ellison’s decision this week to charge the former owner, managers and employees of a Hill City care center. In all, 10 people are charged with around 75 counts including manslaughter, assault and racketeering.

“And that’s the message that needs to be sent to those bad people, if you’re going to abuse our most vulnerable folks in Minnesota, you will be held accountable and you will go to jail.”

The suspects are the former owner, managers and employees of Chappy’s Golden Shores, a now-closed assisted-living facility in Hill City.
