A Gustavus student has been found dead in Hamburg, Minnesota, which is in Carver County.

The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension reports that 20-year-old Alexander-John Louis Sarlis was located in an apartment. They believe the cause of death is a drug overdose.

Authorities say three people have been arrested in connection with his death but they do not believe this case to be a homicide. The BCA says his body was found in a sleeping bag and had likely been there for several days.

Sarlis had been missing since September 13. The family reported him missing on September 17.

Authorities say the three that were arrested are in the Carver County jail facing charges for concealing a body and theft of his property.
