Each year, millions of older adults fall. In fact, more than one out of four older adults fall each year, and falling once doubles your chances of falling again according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Jeff Prendergast from Tivity Health will discuss how you can reduce your risk of falling Wednesday, September 25 from 11 am – 12 pm at the VINE Adult Community Center.  Prendergast will teach factors that play a role in falling and give tools to reduce your risk of suffering from a fall.   All participants will receive a workbook that includes tips on falls prevention, plus balance and flexibility exercises you can do at home.

The event is free and open to the public for $5.  For more information or to register visit www.vinevolunteers.com or call (507) 387-1666.
