The head of the American Lung Association in Minnesota applauds President Trump’s push this week to ban flavored e-cigarette products. Director Bob Moffitt:
“Last year alone there was a 78-percent increase in high school kids vaping and a 48-percent increase in vaping among middle school children — so that’s very alarming.”
The number of confirmed or likely cases of severe lung injury linked with vaping continues to rise in Minnesota. The Minnesota Department of Health says there are 28 confirmed cases of vaping that lead to hospitalization and 15 other cases that are under review.
