Though a Duluth man faces charges in connection with last week’s fire at Adas Israel synagogue in Duluth, investigators say there is no reason to believe it was a hate crime. Steve Hunegs with the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) of Minnesota says in some ways that’s a relief. He says congregation has been grateful in the days since the fire…

“For the outpouring of support from the greater Duluth community and throughout the world, it was mentioned yesterday, Mayor Larson said that she’s been receiving recollections from as far away as Israel.”

Investigators say the fire started outside the synagogue and no accelerants were found at that scene.
