Minnesota has its first confirmed death associated with vaping and state Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm says:

“We strongly urge people not to vape illicit THC products, that is, those purchased on the black market.”

Officials say there are 17 confirmed or probable cases of serious lung injury associated with vaping — and all those interviewed by investigators report they vaped illicit TCH products. Officials say at this point *no* Minnesota cases have been associated with cannabis vaporization products acquired solely through the state’s medical cannabis program — but Malcolm says until they’ve determined a specific cause, they cannot be certain there’s no risk.
