On September 4 at approximately 6:20 pm Agents with the Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force were conducting a surveillance operation south of Mankato looking for a person known to have an active Felony Department of Corrections arrest warrant. Agents spotted the individual riding in the front passenger seat of a vehicle. Agents followed the vehicle into Mankato and called for uniformed Blue Earth County Deputies to assist.
Blue Earth County Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle. The vehicle failed to stop and a short pursuit ensued in the area of Adams Street and Hafner Drive. The pursuit ended when the fleeing vehicle rammed the front of a Blue Earth County squad car.
38-year-old Karl Alfredo Rosillo, of Mankato, was taken into custody by deputies and task force agents. A juvenile female was also arrested at the scene.
During the investigation, MRVDTF Agents located approximately 24 grams of methamphetamine in the vehicle. Agents also learned that once the deputy attempted to stop the vehicle Rosillo took over control of the vehicle from the JV female and attempted to flee.
Rosillo, the Deputy, and the JV female were all checked out at MCHS and released.
Rosillo is in the Blue Earth County Jail being held on several felony charges to include:
1st Degree Controlled Substance Sales, 3rd Degree Controlled Substance Possession and Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle. The JV female was released to a parent.
