Senate Republicans continue trying to get to the bottom of problems in the state Human Services Department with the second in a series of hearings tomorrow (Wed) at the State Capitol.   Senator Michelle Benson from Ham Lake:

“The people of Minnesota need to have a functioning Department of Human Services, and that’s not gonna happen if we don’t talk about problems that led to the resignation of two very significant commissioners.”

Two top Human Services Department officials resigned last week, following the earlier departure of Commissioner Tony Lourey (LOR-ee). Incoming Commissioner Jodi Harpstead, former C-E-O of Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota, takes over today (Tues).
