Archery deer hunt begins Saturday, September 14, and lasts through December 31, 2019. Bowhunters must pass a proficiency test to be considered for participation. Hunters who qualify for the program are only permitted to use bows and are required to follow the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources archery hunting regulations.
Mankato is an approved special hunt location by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources with 41 active deer stand locations in areas encompassing both public and private land. Each hunter will be assigned to a specific area where they may set up and hunt from.
