Starting today (MON), the State Patrol is cracking down on aggressive driving on I-94.

“Our goal is to change behavior first and foremost, it’s not to issue citations as much as it is to change behavior, we want to make sure that people are driving the manner which is safe for everybody on 94 and we want to combat things such as speeding, aggressive driving, tailgating, distracted driving.”

State Patrol Lieutenant Gordon Shank says the Saturation Limiting Aggressive Motorists or SLAM campaign will be in effect through September 1st. The effort involves troopers from Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota and Montana.
