Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders will be at the State Fair on Saturday afternoon and also have what the campaign calls a grassroots fundraiser.

Sanders’ visit comes just days after his leading rival in the liberal faction of the Democratic Party, Elizabeth Warren, drew a crowd of thousands at Macalester College in Saint Paul:

“It looks like Minnesota is ready for some change in Washington!”

Carleton College political analyst Steven Schier says Warren has “significant momentum” in the race for president, while Sanders on the other hand…

“Sanders is sort of where he’s been. You don’t see big momentum for Sanders, and of course you want to be moving up, otherwise you’re being left behind — and I think that’s the problem for Bernie Sanders.”
