CHICAGO (AP) – Advocates for immigrants say they’ve already seen the fallout from the Trump administration’s changes that would deny green cards to many immigrants who receive public assistance. A Minnesota immigration attorney says within hours of the administration’s announcement last week, she received a flurry of calls from worried clients. An organization that helps immigrants in New York says since the rule was proposed, it’s seen a 20% drop in food stamp enrollment.
