The Blue Earth County Library received a shipment of new books on Friday from the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. Cookbooks and non-fiction books focusing on travel and decorating are just some of the materials the Library will be adding to its collection, but a large array of materials were chosen. The shipment is part of the Library of Congress Surplus Books Program, which donates surplus books that are not needed for the Library’s own uses. In total, 196 materials were received, which equals about $5,000 in donations.
