Workers at Amazon’s Shakopee warehouse plan to go on strike for several hours next Monday as part of their continued push for improved work conditions. The strike coincides with “Prime Day”–which is one of Amazon’s busiest days of the year.

“I just want to make it a better place to work, it’s a really difficult place to work at Amazon, there are rates that we’re held accountable for, and if you don’t make rates, you end up getting fired.”

Amazon worker Meg Brady. The striking workers are also calling for more opportunities for advancement for the predominantly East African workforce.
