The first-ever “Red Blue Build” will bring together 18 state Representatives and Senators–of both parties–to volunteer on a Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity construction site.

“Affordable housing really has to be a bi-partisan issue, and it has been in the legislature, some of our best champions have been on both sides of the aisle, Democrat and Republican, but it’s important for people to understand the need for more affordable housing, particularly home ownership.”

President of the Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity and former Mayor of St. Paul, Chris Coleman. The build today is also a kick-off for Habitat for Humanity’s nationwide “Cost of Home” advocacy campaign, which aims to improve home affordability for 10 million people in the U-S over the next five years.
