It’s been nearly two years since the gas explosion at Minnehaha Academy that killed two staff members. Construction on the new building will be finished soon and school president Dr. Donna Harris says…

“We are very excited to say that we will be back in our building, back home August 21, the first day of school and we’ll be back in. It’s been a two-year journey, but we are thrilled to be welcoming our staff, faculty and students back.”

Students have been attending school at another site in Mendota Heights since the explosion. The new building has a view facing the Mississippi River and a lot of natural lighting that Harris says is meant to “nourish” students’ hearts, minds and souls.
