Special Counsel Robert Mueller said charging President Trump with obstruction of justice was not an option due to a longstanding Justice Department policy. In response, the president tweeted that a “person is innocent” if there is “insufficient evidence” to charge a crime and called the case closed. But Carleton College political analyst Steven Schier says…

“The case is closed when the president’s political opponents decide to close which means the case is probably not closed now.”

Mueller said if he had confidence that the President clearly did not commit a crime, he would have said so.
