Allergy sufferers in Minnesota are getting hit hard with the first blast of pollen this spring. Dr. Gary Bermann with the Clinical Research Institute says the cool, wet weather has provided relief for some:
“People who are spending a lot of time outside are symptomatic. But a lot of people are not enjoying the weather and therefore not getting outside, and therefore are staying inside and not getting exposed to the pollen.”
Bermann says it’s important for allergy sufferers to take precautions like keeping windows closed and not drying towels and bedding on an outdoor clothesline.
