Democrats’ tax cut plan cleared the Minnesota House early this morning (Fri) on a party-line vote. Dilworth D-F-Ler Paul Marquart:

“We have put a priority on our working families and our seniors and our farmers and small businesses, and we’ve stepped up to the plate and said, we’re gonna provide some real targeted tax cuts.”

Republicans warn that Democrats’ proposed gas tax increase and extending the medical provider tax will undo any tax benefits to working families. And they say business tax hikes that Democrats are pushing will choke off job growth and hurt Minnesota’s economy. Democrats respond they’re leveling the playing field after the Trump tax cuts.
