In 2018, an estimated 1,700,000 new cases of cancer were diagnosed in the United States and over 600,000 people died from the disease according to the National Cancer Institute.
The number of cancer survivors is increasing. One way to help fight the disease is through what you eat. Diet and lifestyle can reduce your risk of developing cancer when healthy habits are adopted every day.
Grace Fjeldberg, a registered dietitian with Mayo Clinic Health System, will present easy and practical ways to use nutrition to help prevent colon and other cancers Wednesday, April 17 from 11 am – 12 pm at the VINE Adult Community Center.
The presentation is free and open to the public. For more information or to register visit vinevolunteers.com or call (507) 386-5586.
