The North Mankato Police Department is warning residents after three acquaintances are hospitalized following a suspected heroin overdose in the last 72 hours.

Police say the first incident happened Tuesday at Bluff Park with a 39-year-old Eagle Lake woman, the second happened Thursday on the 1600 block of Roe Crest Drive with a 51-year-old woman. The third was reported also on Thursday at Kwik Trip with a 24-year-old North Mankato man.

All three are expected to recover.

An investigation found all three knew each other and had consumed amounts from the same batch of suspected heroin.
