The Aussie Peppers of MN professional softball team, competing in its inaugural season with the National Pro Fastpitch League (NPF) will be participating in the upcoming 2019
NPF College Player Draft.

National Pro Fastpitch will hold its annual College Player Draft for the third consecutive year in Nashville,
Tennessee. The event will take place on Monday, April 15th at 7:00 pm CT and is a featured event for the
league each year.

“We love the light the Draft shines on the future of the NPF and professional softball in general,”
commented NPF Commissioner, Cheri Kempf. “It is a fun night to celebrate not only the outstanding
accomplishments of the college seniors that will be drafted, but the confidence of our teams in the future
potential of these women as professional athletes.”

The Aussie Peppers of Minnesota have a total of four picks in the 2019 college draft with the first pick 8 th
overall in the second round. The organization has three other picks 13 th (3 rd round), 18 th (4 th round), and
23 rd (5 th round).

“This is a new era in sports for Mankato, MN. The Aussie Peppers of Minnesota are the first professional
team to call the Mankato area it’s base for any college draft,” commented Aussie Peppers General
Manager, Matt Mangulis. “This is a first for Southern Minnesota and a first for professional softball in
Minnesota. Our partners in Softball Australia fully support the work we are doing here in the states to
help secure top talent for the Aussie Peppers inaugural season.”

Buffalo Wings and Rings will be the official NPF college draft watch location for Aussie Peppers – 1861
Adams St, Mankato, MN. The Watch Party will run from 6-8 pm. The NPF College draft stream will be
shown on TVs within the restaurant.

Tickets for the draft watch party can be purchased at for $12 per person and include a boneless wing buffet.

The Aussie Peppers will lead off action in the 2019 season at their home field of Caswell Park, with a
series against the Beijing Shougang Eagles.

The Aussie Peppers will play a total of 23 games at Caswell Park in North Mankato in 2019. Tickets can be purchased at
Aussie Peppers of Minnesota is a partnership between Softball Australia and the softball organization
known as the Mankato Peppers and youth softball across Southern Minnesota. The team will be one of
six that will compete in the National Pro Fastpitch league during 2019.
