A technical glitch in the 2018 bonding bill that potentially could have delayed Highway 14 even further has been cleaned up in an agreement between Governor Tim Walz and the legislature.
“We got 14 approved. Over the summer, there was a technical glitch with a wording error that MMB (Minnesota Management and Budget didn’t agree with,” said Republican State Senator John Jasinski of Faribault, “we got that correction fixed.”
Jasinski is vice chair of the Senate Transportation Committee, and he added, “Highway 14 from Dodge Center to Owatonna is fully funded and will start as soon as spring of 2019.”
The bill passed the Senate by a vote of 63-1 and will be sent to Walz for his signature.
