This month is now the snowiest February on record in Mankato, and it’s not nearly over yet.

WeatherEye meteorologist Megan Mulford said the next system is expected to move in late in the day Tuesday and one to two inches of snowfall is possible.

She says the snow will continue through Wednesday, with two to four more inches possible.

More snow showers are expected Thursday and another system may arrive on Friday that Mulford said includes the potential for significant snowfall.

Since February 1st, 28.5 inches of snow has been measured in the back yard of the Radio Mankato studios. The previous record for the month was 26.5 inches, set in 1962.
