Twin Cities women busted after trying to steal $3,000 in merchandise from Mankato store

Three women are accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from a Mankato store.

Mankato Police say 18-year-old Talea Williams-Jones, 28-year-old Leah Jones, and 26-year-old Briana Jefferson loaded the stolen items into a vehicle using a fire door and they included electronics, hoverboards, and other high-ticket items totaling almost $3,000.

All three women are from the Twin Cities area and are charged with one felony count of theft.
