One naked man and another found with his pants down are facing several charges after Mapleton Police say they were doing ‘donuts’ in a farmer’s field, damaging the crop.

A 911 caller told dispatchers that a driver was revving the engine on a vehicle, which appeared to be stuck in a field, and the responding officer found fresh spin marks on Borchert Street. The vehicle was stuck in a nearby farm field, and investigators say 24-year-old Tyler Tester of Mankato was in the pickup, naked, and 20-year-old Hunter Schwichtenberg was pulling up his pants when the officer approached the pickup.

The criminal complaint shows Tester claimed he was naked because he’d gotten too warm.

Schwichtenberg eventually identified Tester as the driver of the vehicle, and the Mankato man stated that he didn’t realize he was damaging the crop. Soon after police say Tester took off running naked through the bean field and attempts to catch him – including with the help of a drone – were not successful and police are still looking for him.

Schwichtenberg blew a .169 on a portable breath test. He is charged with underage drinking, underage possession, and having an open bottle in the vehicle.

Charges against Tester include running from police and reckless driving.
